The No. 6 Georgia College Baseball Team (43-10), fresh off winning both the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) regular season and tournament titles, was announced as the second seed in the 2018 NCAA Southeast Regional.
The Bobcats will face the seventh seed, Lincoln Memorial University (35-19), in the opening game of the tournament. North Greenville University (44-8) in Tigerville, South Carolina is the first seed and will host the regional. The regional also includes fellow PBC teams Columbus State University (40-12) and UNC Pembroke (39-13). The Bobcats faced North Greenville, Columbus State and UNC Pembroke in the regular season, going a combined 6-1 against the three teams.
All regionals will be double-elimination tournaments and will be played May 17-21. The winners of the regionals will advance to the championship finals.
The championship will be held at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, N.C., from May 26-June 2.
