BRISTOL, Tenn. – The Georgia College Men's Basketball team (4-1) has won four straight and is getting some attention, receiving votes in the most recent D2SIDA Southeast Region Poll.
Voted on by a panel of Sports Information Directors in the region, the Bobcats picked up four points in the most recent list, released Monday.
Three Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools appear in the region top-10, led by USC Aiken tied for third. UNC Pembroke is No. 6, while the University of North Georgia is No. 10. Augusta University, Clayton State University and Flagler College are also PBC schools receiving votes. The top slot belongs to Barton College.
The Bobcats are back in action Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 7:30 p.m., traveling to USCA to kick off PBC play.
The Georgia College Department of Athletics, two-time winners of the PBC Commissioner's Cup and the 2017 PBC Sportsmanship Institution of the Year, sponsors 11 varsity athletic programs at the NCAA Division II level.
