MILLEDGEVILE, Ga. – Junior Thresia Elskamp (Potosi, Wis.) guard on Georgia College women's basketball team, was awarded Bobcat Athlete of the Week after her performances against Augusta State University and the University of North Georgia.
Elskamp averaged 10.0 points while also averaging 7.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals over the two-game week. The junior leads the team in rebounds, assists and steals this season.
Elskamp's best performance was in the 58-48 loss against North Georgia Thursday, Jan. 17 and resulted in 18 points and 10 rebounds for the junior. This was the first double-double for the Bobcats since March 11, 2011.
The Bobcats will return to action tonight, Jan. 24 at USC Aiken.
