MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Senior forward Alyah McGriff (Suwanee) of the Georgia College Women's Basketball team (7-5, 4-2 PBC) was named Bobcat Athlete of the Week for the week ending Jan. 7. This marks the second such honor for McGriff and the third for Bobcat Women's Hoops this season.
The GC Women's Basketball teams rattled off two wins this week, led by McGriff in both. She averaged 18.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per contest on the way. In the win at Georgia Southwestern State University Wednesday, she posted 21 points, seven boards and a pair of steals, the senior's second 20-point game this season.
The Bobcats are back in action Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 5:30 p.m., playing host to Clayton State University.
