MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – In collaboration with the Rally Foundation, the Georgia College basketball teams plan to host Rally Night Wednesday, Feb. 27 in Centennial Center during their games against Young Harris College beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The purpose of Rally Night is to raise funds and awareness for childhood cancer. Bobcat Athletics, in a joint effort with the student-run Rally organization on campus, will present numerous fundraising opportunities throughout the evening. Attendees are also encouraged to wear gold, the official color representation of childhood cancer.
The Rally Foundation acts as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and strives to encourage volunteers across the nation to raise funds and bring awareness to childhood cancer research. Their mission is to improve treatments and eventually contribute to unmasking a cure. Of every dollar donated, 92 cents goes towards supporting Rally’s cause.
