AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) released its final round of weekly baseball honors, with Georgia College's (39-10, 26-4 PBC) Cassius Young (Atlanta) earning PBC Freshman of the Week for his efforts during the week ending May 6.
Young finished the regular season with a 1-for-2 outing in two games against Winston-Salem State University. The freshman infielder had a triple in the series finale, driving in a run. He also drew a pair of walks and had a .667 on-base percentage on the week. Young was also errorless in four chances at shortstop.
The Bobcats are back in action Friday, May 11 at 10 a.m. taking on Lander University in the pool play round of the PBC Tournament at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida.
