MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The College Sports Information Directors Association (CoSIDA) announced its Google Cloud Academic All-District Teams for baseball Thursday, with two student-athletes from No. 6 Georgia College Baseball (40-10) making the list.

Seniors Logan Mattix (Loganville) and Nate Schmal (Cumming) were this year's Bobcat honorees. Mattix owns a 3.66 GPA in Marketing, while Schmal brings a 3.64 GPA in Management Information Systems.

Mattix made the list last season, and is the first two-time Academic All-District honoree in program history. Both Schmal and Mattix now move on to the Academic All-America ballot.

All-time, seven Georgia College players have taken Academic All-District nods, the most recent being Mattix and first baseman Clayten Ayres in 2017.

The Google Cloud Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed at the link above and are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. The Google Cloud Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and College Division. The College Division includes all NAIA, Canadian, two-year schools and other affiliations.

The Division II and III Google Cloud Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures, to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2017-18 DII and DIII Academic AllAmerica® teams.

First-team Academic All-District™ honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third team All-America honorees will be released June 6.
