MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – College Factual recently released its 2019 National Student-Athlete Rankings for Division II Men's Baseball. Georgia College performed very well in these rankings, moving up three slots over the previous year's ranking to take the No. 14 slot.

The Bobcat Ranking means Georgia College is in the top -10 percent of schools in the nation for the sport. With having moved up three spots, this is a huge achievement for Georgia College Baseball. The ranking of best schools for student-athletes takes into account both the athletic competiveness of the team as well as the academic progress of the student athletes. It highlights schools that help students succeed both in the classroom and on the field.

" It's quite an honor and credit to the history of our program to be recognized nationally," said head baseball coach Jason Eller. "We are celebrating the 50th season of GC Baseball and our ranking fires up the enthusiasm for our Alumni, former players and the 2019 squad. Our mission at Georgia College is to put academics as our number one core value and we are super proud of that."

The Bobcats are back in action Friday, Feb. 8 at 6 p.m., playing host to No. 2 University of Tampa. Georgia College recently beat the University of West Georgia 10-8 Tuesday, Feb. 5. Georgia College is off to a great start to their 2019 season.
