  • Bobcat Women’s Cross Country Takes Team GPA Award for 2014-15

    MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – For the third-straight season, the Georgia College Women’s Cross Country team takes team GPA honors in the Bobcat Athletic Department, edging out Bobcat Women’s Tennis for this year’s top team GPA. The GC women harriers posted a 3.61 GPA combined for the two semesters, leading the 11 Bobcat varsity sports teams.
  • Bobcat Athletics Puts 129 on PBC Presidential Honor Roll

    AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) announced its Presidential Honor Roll recipients, with 129 Georgia College student-athletes making the list, one shy of the school record, set last year. The program honors all student-athletes with a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the 2014-15 academic year.

    DADE CITY, Fla. – The No. 26 Georgia College golf team shot a final round 308 Wednesday at the NCAA South/Southeast SuperRegional, finishing 19th for the three rounds at plus-73. The Bobcats carded rounds of 327, 302 on previous days at the par-72, 7,098-yard Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club.

The Bobcats posted rounds of 290, 286 and 313 to finish plus-49 on the par-70, 6,730-yard Cuscowilla on Lake Oconee course.

    EATONTON, Ga. – Some of the best Division II men’s golf squads in the country took advantage of nearly perfect weather Monday at the 2015 Bobcat Invitational, as 13 golfers were at-par or better. Host Georgia College climbed two spots from round one to take 10th place after two rounds at the tournament, held on the par-70, 6,739-yard Cuscowilla on Lake Oconee golf course.

The Bobcats finished plus-33 after rounds of 298 and 292 yesterday on the par-72, 7,016-yard Savannah Quarters Country Club Course.

    NORMAN, Okla. – The Georgia College Golf Team has been ranked No. 25 in the nation in the first spring edition of the Bushnell/GolfWeek Division II Coaches Poll, released Friday. The Bobcats received 36 points in the poll, placing them one point behind No. 24-ranked Tiffin University.

    LAKELAND, Fla. – The Georgia College golf squad started its spring 2015 season this week, taking 11th place at the Matlock Collegiate Classic, hosted by Florida Southern College. The Bobcats shot rounds of 295, 299 and 295 in an uber-tough field; of the 10 teams in front of Georgia College, nine are currently in the Golfstat NCAA top-20.
