Bobcat Golf Alums Show Well at 2019 Mid-Amateur Championship

SUWANEE, Ga. – The Georgia Mid-Amateur Championship wrapped up May 19, with a few Georgia College Golf alums putting together impressive rounds.

Poli Medrano (2004) was the best of the bunch, taking fourth at three-over par and three strokes off the lead. Medrano had rounds of 76, 69 and 74.

Defending Champion Taylor Smith (2013) took sixth, finishing at five-over after rounds of 78, 72 and 71. Ryan Trocchio (2015) also competed in the event, finishing at plus-21. 

The Georgia College Department of Athletics, two-time winners of the PBC Commissioner Cup and the 2017 PBC Sportsmanship Institution of the Year, sponsors 11 varsity athletic programs at the NCAA Division II level.
