MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Junior Austin Mancilla (Lawrenceville) of the Georgia College Golf team has been named Bobcat Athlete of the Week for his efforts during the week ending April 21.
Mancilla took fourth to earn Peach Belt Conference (PBC) All-Tournament Team status Sunday, as Georgia College Golf finished ninth at the 2019 PBC Tournament hosted by Flagler College. Mancilla carded a pair of 70s wrapped around a 73 for three-under. He finished the final round at a scorching pace, with five birdies on the back nine. The par-five No. 11 was kind to Mancilla this weekend, as he posted two birdies and a first-round eagle there.
