MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College Men's Basketball team (1-2) tallied their first win of the year defeating Morehouse College (2-1) 74-66 in the Bobcat home opener at the Centennial Center Tuesday night.

The first half was full of exciting basketball, consisting of four ties and eight lead changes.  The Bobcats broke away from the Tigers late in the first going on an 18-8 run in the final five minutes to close out the half with a 10-point lead, 39-29.

The five-minute mark in the first was the turning point for the Bobcats Tuesday night, not allowing Morehouse to get within seven points for the remainder of the contest.  Georgia College created the point separation they needed before half, then executed their game plan to maintain around a 10-point lead for the entirety of the second.

The Bobcats played great team basketball tonight with four players scoring in double digits.  They were led by newcomer junior Brice Booker (Atlanta) who was responsible for 17 points, four rebounds and two assists.  Not far behind was freshman Kohl Roberts (Atlanta), just one rebound shy of a double-double, scoring 13 points, nine rebounds, two blocks, two assists and a steal.  Freshman Austin Dukes (Lawrenceville) and sophomore Chaz Berry (Fayetteville) both put up 11 points in Tuesday's game.  Dukes also collected four assists along with a rebound and Berry also tallied two rebounds, two steals with an assist.  The Georgia College bench had three players in double digits and were responsible for 42 of the points scored.

The Bobcats are back on the road this weekend when they head to Alabama to take on the Tuskegee University Golden Tigers Saturday, Nov. 19 at 4:30 p.m.
