MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College Basketball program (14-11, 8-8 PBC) suffered a difficult loss at the hands of a made half-court shot from the University of North Georgia's (14-11, 10-6 PBC) Denzell Hosch as time expired giving the Nighthawks the 66-63 win.

The Bobcats got off to a slow start in Monday night's match up, falling into an early 19-11 deficit through the first 10 minutes of the ballgame.  They quickly made an adjustment and went on a huge 23-7 run to close out the first half of play. Freshman Kohl Roberts (Atlanta) was the spark the Bobcats needed to get back in the contest, recording 12 points and 12 rebounds in the first half, giving them an eight-point advantage heading into the break.  Roberts finished with a whopping 15 rebounds to go along with his 16 points, earning him his fourth double-double of the season and a new career-high in boards.

Sophomore Isaac Thomas (Trion) picked up his teammate Roberts after he was sent to the bench after picking up his fourth foul early in the half. Thomas netted 11 points through the first 10 minutes of the half, allowing the Bobcats to maintain their lead while keeping Roberts out of foul trouble. Georgia College managed to keep momentum rolling early in the second half maintaining their lead through the opening 10 minutes.

Things started to tighten up as the game started to wind down.  The Nighthawks chipped away and fought their way back into a tie with the Bobcats after going on a 15-7 run to knot things up 63-63 with just 30 seconds to play. Coming out of a timeout, the Bobcats got a good look at a three-point shot but came up empty.  The Nighthawks' Hosch gathered the rebound, took a few dribbles to half court and tossed up a prayer that found the bottom of the net earning them the victory, 66-63.

Thomas managed to reach two career milestones Monday night.  His first rebound came just 30 seconds into the contest, earning him his 400th career board with the blue and green.  Thomas also netted his 500th career point for Georgia College after a three-point shot with nine minutes to go in the game.  He also tied his career-high in rebounds matching the 14 previously recorded playing at North Georgia earlier this season. He completed his night with 16 points, making it the sixth double-double for Thomas in his short career with Georgia College.
