MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The 2019-20 campaign for Georgia College Men’s Basketball gets underway this weekend at the Conference Carolinas/PBC Challenge in Due West, South Carolina. The Bobcats will open the season with Erskine College Friday, Nov. 8 at 4 p.m., then finish the classic with North Greenville University Saturday, Nov. 9 at 3 p.m.
Georgia College is coming off a 17-12 season that ended in the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Quarterfinals. Georgia College went 12-10 in conference play, finishing fifth in the PBC standings.
Featuring one of the youngest squads in the league, Georgia College’s roster contains nine freshmen, three of which redshirted the 2018-19 season with the Bobcats.
Among those returning to lead the youthful Bobcat squad is junior guard Jordan Thomas (Conyers). Coming off a career year which landed him on the 2019-20 PBC Preseason All-Conference Team, Thomas led the team and finished second in the PBC with 19.2 points per game last season. Also returning is junior guard Justin Cave (Savannah). Cave appeared in 28 games last season while averaging 4.1 points per game.
The Bobcats open the season with nine road contests before returning home on Thursday, Dec. 19 at 7:30 p.m. for a matchup with Flagler College.
