Georgia College Men's Tennis Progresses at ITA Regionals

SUMTER, S.C. - Georgia College Men's Tennis continued play in the ITA Southeast Regional Small College/Oracle Championships on Friday. The Bobcats' second day of play saw mixed results, but men in both singles and doubles are still alive in the bracket.

In singles, Sophomore Noah Wallace (Grayson, Georgia) faced off against No. 4-seed Tommaso Schold of Columbus State University in a round of 64 match where Wallace lost in straight sets, 6-3 7-6. Matt Rogel (Sautron, France) advanced to the round of 16 following a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Gabriel Balestero of Lander University and a 6-4, 6-2 win over Agustin Aran of Queens University. Rogel squares off against Kiranpal Pannu of Columbus State Saturday at 10:30 a.m.

Junior Robin Moller (Hamburg, Germany) had a strong start to his Friday, recording a 6-4, 6-1 victory over Tomas Depaggio of Anderson University but was forced to retire against Lander's Axel Cronje at 7-5, 3-3.

Play continues tomorrow, Sept. 28 in Sumter.
