AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) announced its PBC Men's Tennis All-Academic Team this week, with three Georgia College Bobcats (11-7) on the 30-member team.
Jannik Kumbier (Neumünster, Germany) is a senior majoring in Economics with a 3.56 GPA. Robin Möller (Hamburg, Germany) is a junior majoring in Exercise Science with a 3.94 GPA. Noah Wallace (Grayson) is a sophomore majoring in Computer Science with a 4.00 GPA.
This marks the third season to this list for Kumbier in his career. Both Möller and Wallace appear for the first time.
Players must fulfill three qualifications to gain a spot on the All-Academic Team. An athlete must play in at least half of the team games and be either a starter or significant contributor to their team's success level. They must also have at least a 3.30 cumulative GPA and have completed at least a year of schooling at their institution with sophomore athletic eligibility.
The Bobcats finished their regular season with an 11-7 mark. They will begin postseason play in the PBC Tournament Quarterfinal on Friday, April 19 at 9 a.m. against the Flagler College Saints. The match will occur on neutral territory at Francis Marion University in Florence, South Carolina.
