Men’s Cross Country Tied for Third in PBC Preseason Poll

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) has released its Men's Cross Country Preseason Coaches Poll. The Georgia College Bobcats sit in the third spot, tied with Columbus State University and Flagler College with 32 points apiece. 

Georgia College is fresh off a third place finish in the Peach Belt Conference in 2017; its best finish in the conference since 2008. The Bobcats are returning three All-Conference runners in Shawn Olmstead (Buford)Collin Silliman (Douglasville) and Brennan Silliman (Douglasville). The trio are primed for a strong season and helped earn the squad their third place selection. 

The Augusta University Jaguars (first) and the UNC Pembroke Braves (second) top the preseason poll. These two teams will provide tough competition for the Bobcats and the rest of the conference. 

The Bobcats make the trip to Valdosta State University Friday, Aug. 31 to compete in their first race of the 2018 campaign.
