Bobcat Men’s Cross Country Adds Two on PBC All-Academic Team

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Georgia College Men's Cross Country team added two runners to the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) 2018 Women's Cross Country All-Academic Team, released Friday.

Sophomore Brennan Silliman (Douglasville) leads the team with a 3.86 GPA in Exercise Science, adding a minor in Biology.

Junior Shawn Olmstead (Buford) adds his second All-Academic honor with a 3.80 GPA in Exercise Science, with a minor in Community Health.

The academic team is part of a season-long program recognizing the outstanding accomplishments of PBC student-athletes in the classroom as well as on the field. To be eligible for the All-Academic team, a student-athlete must 1) participate in at least half of his/her team's events and be either a starter or significant contributor; 2) achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and 3) completed at least one full academic year at his or her current institution.

The Bobcats race next at the PBC Championships in Augusta Saturday, Nov. 3 at 9 a.m.
