MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The College Sports Information Directors (CoSIDA) recently announced the Academic All-District Teams for Men's Cross Country/Track & Field, with Georgia College Cross Country sophomore Brennan Silliman (Douglasville) taking a spot on the 11-member team.

Silliman makes his first career appearance on the District 3 team, made up of student-athletes from the Peach Belt Conference (PBC), South Atlantic Conference (SAC) and Conference Carolinas (CC). The list includes student-athletes from cross country and track and field.

He owns a 3.90 GPA in Exercise Science with a minor in Biology. A two-time All-PBC Runner, taking eighth this season and 14th a year ago, Silliman added All-Southeast Region honors this year. He took 20th place in the regional race in Gainesville.

Silliman will advance to the Academic All-America ballot, with an announcement due Wednesday, June 26. He is the lone PBC representative on this year's All-District squad.

This is the second such honor for GC Men's Cross Country all-time, as Silliman joins James Ryden in 2016.
