Men’s Cross Country Ranked 10th in Region

NEW ORLEANS, La. – With just days remaining before the Bobcat Invitational, the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) have released their Division II Regional Rankings, with the Bobcat Men taking 10th in the Southeast region. The Bobcats have appeared in every poll this season.

The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) maintains a strong showing in the latest poll, with five teams cracking the top 10, including Augusta University (third), UNC Pembroke (fourth), Flagler College (sixth), and Columbus State University (seventh).

The Bobcats will look to rebound in the rankings and build off momentum from their most recent meet, the Louisville Classic, which saw Georgia College finish second in a 35-team field. The team will also seek to benefit from home turf with their next meet at Council Farm in Milledgeville.

Georgia College returns to action with the Bobcat Invitational Saturday, Oct. 20th at 8:30 a.m.

The Georgia College Department of Athletics, two-time winners of the PBC Commissioner's Cup and the 2017 PBC Sportsmanship Institution of the Year, sponsors 11 varsity athletic programs at the NCAA Division II level. As a Division II program, Bobcat Athletics prides itself on balancing the life of the student-athlete, evidenced by the teams' multiple appearances in post-season competition as well as documented academic success and community-service involvement.
