MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College softball team put two on the Daktronics All-Southeast Region teams, the organization announced Tuesday. Outfielder Whitney Okvist (Kennesaw, Ga.) was picked for the first team and utility player Abi LeRoy (Dublin, Ga.) earned a second-team slot.

Okvist finished the 2014 season hitting .435, scoring 45 runs and stealing 44 bases in 50 tries. The senior posted a .505 on-base percentage, upping that to .518 in Peach Belt Conference (PBC) contests. She ranks fifth in the nation in steals at 0.93 per game.

LeRoy finished the season with a .325 batting average, 43 RBI, 32 runs and 16 steals, playing in left field and at second base.

Okvist was last selected to the Southeast Region First Team in 2012. This is LeRoy's first all-region honor.

As a first-team selection, Okvist will move on to the All-America ballot, with winners announced May 21. The Daktronics All-America programs honor student-athletes in Division II athletic programs.
