MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) will hold its annual Summer Conference and All-Star Sports Week July 16-20 and has asked Georgia College Head Coach Jamie Grodecki to serve as a guest clinician.
A native of Huntsville, Grodecki is a graduate of both the University of Alabama-Huntsville and University of Alabama-Birmingham. She will present Wednesday, July 17 on the subject of "Manufacturing Runs Without Hitting the Long Ball".
Other guest clinicians for the day include Lonni Alameda, the head coach of Florida State University, the 2018 Division I National Champions and Mickey Dean, the head coach of Division I Auburn University,
Grodecki owns 352 victories at the Division II level, including 299 in the Georgia College dugout. The 2013 Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Coach of the Year, her nine seasons at GC have seen four Academic All-Americans and two All-Americans as well as 32 All-PBC honorees.
The Georgia College Department of Athletics, two-time winners of the PBC Commissioner Cup and the 2017 PBC Sportsmanship Institution of the Year, sponsors 11 varsity athletic programs at the NCAA Division II level.
