MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College women’s basketball team (20-6) put two key players on the All-Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Teams, as announced by the conference Friday.

Senior Chimere Jordan (Gray, Ga.) took PBC first team honors. She averaged 21.0 points, nearly eight rebounds and 3.2 steals per game. Jordan ranked first in the conference in points per game, fifth in free throw percentage (.800), second in steals (3.1) and second in minutes per game (35.2). She currently ranks third in the nation in points per game and she is the only player in GC history to garner over 1,000 points in just two seasons.

Classmate Dominique Huffin (Tucker, Ga.) was awarded with second team honors. The 2008 PBC Freshman of the Year averaged 12.0 ppg and nearly five rebounds. Huffin is second in the conference in three point field goals made per game with 2.3. Huffin now stands second in the Georgia College recordbooks in all-time three point field goals made with 203.

Player of the Year was taken by Lander University’s Shannon McKever. Defensive Player of the Year was awarded to Clayton State University’s Tanisha Woodard. Freshman of the Year was garnered by USC Aiken’s Kayla Harris and Coach of the Year was given to Clayton’s Dennis Cox for a perfect 29-0 record.

All-time, the Bobcats have now put 31 players on the All-PBC list. Jordan joins an elite list of multiple-time recipients after being chosen a second teamer in 2010. Joining Jordan on that short list are Alicia Wilson and Christy Walker, who received honors in 1996 and 1997.

The 'Cats will travel to USC Aiken to play No. 4 Lander University at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 5 in the semifinal round at the Convocation Center.
