MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College Women's Basketball team (5-8, 3-4 PBC) was edged by a buzzer-beating three-pointer from UNC Pembroke (4-8, 3-3 PBC) 56-55 Saturday at the Centennial Center.

The Braves were down 55-53 after Georgia College netted a free-throw with four seconds left. Aliyah Farmer gathered in the errant second toss, and immediately called timeout.  Tee Graham took the in-bounds on the far side of midcourt, crossed over once and flung up a 25-footer, banking in as time expired for the 56-55 win.

Bobcat senior Jasmine McSwain (Marietta) led all scorers with 20 points, including 4-for-7 from long range. He added six rebounds. Classmate Sydney Cleveland (Gainesville) and junior Dail Adaway (Tifton) each tallied 11. Adaway paired her career-high 11 points with nine rebounds and a pair of blocks.

In a very evenly-matched contest, both teams pulled in 37 rebounds, and each team had 15 points off turnovers. UNCP shot slightly better at 37 percent (22-60) to 35 percent (19-54) from the field.

McSwain now has two-straight 20-point games, and three total on the season.

The Bobcats are back in action Wednesday, Jan. 16 at 5:30 p.m., traveling to Clayton State University.
