YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – All of the fireworks came early, as Georgia College women's soccer (5-4-2, 3-3 PBC) fell at Young Harris College (3-5, 1-4 PBC) 2-0 Wednesday.
Both goals came in the first 16 minutes, and both involving the same Mountain Lion players.
Emily Ober scored both goals, getting assists from Hanna Johnsson and Sydney Baird. Ober's goals came in the ninth and 16th minutes.
The Bobcats turned up the pressure in the second half to try and get something going, out-shooting YHC 8-4. Young Harris goalkeeper Arielle Charles made four saves in the shutout, stopping two shots in each half. Bobcat goalkeeper Ashlee Graham (Decatur) stopped three shots in five tries in the loss.
The Bobcats are back in action Saturday, Oct. 10 at 1 p.m., traveling to UNC Pembroke.
