Bobcat Soccer Starts Season With Shutout Win, 2-0

ANDERSON, S.C. – The Georgia College Soccer team (1-0) started the 2018 season on the right foot with a 2-0 victory at Anderson University (0-1) Thursday night.

All scoring came in the first half, as senior Amanda Bartholomew (Peachtree City, Georgia) picked up where she left off in her All-America junior season, netting the first goal of the 2018 campaign.

Rookie Alyssa Bergamini (West Suffield, Connecticut) doubled the scoring with 1:53 before the halftime horn. The goal was Bergamini's first collegiate score.

Senior Ashlee Graham (Decatur, Georgia) put up her first clean sheet of the 2018 season, tallying her eighth career shutout.

The Bobcats are back in action Sunday, Sept. 2 at 1 p.m., playing host to Florida Southern College in non-conference play.
