MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. — The Georgia College Soccer team (8-2-2, 2-1-2 PBC) battled to a scoreless draw versus Flagler College ((6-2-1, 4-1-1 PBC) in Peach Belt Conference (PBC) action Saturday afternoon at Bobcat Field.
Both keepers came up huge multiple times throughout the course of the game, as each offense piled up shots on goal. Ashlee Graham (Decatur) tallied 8 saves on the day for the Bobcats, while her opposition Sara-Lisa Dubel made 15.
Georgia College came out firing in the first half, outshooting the Saints 10-4. Sophomore forward Kayla Ruiz (Milton) constantly pressured the opposition and finished with a team-high five shots on goal. Unnbjorg Omarsdottir (Reykjavik, Iceland) rifled in three of her own, while Amanda Bartholomew (Peachtree, City) and Alyssa Bergamini (West Suffield, Connecticut) each had a pair.
The team finished with 25 shots on the game and once again, the Bobcat defense proved tough by posting their eighth shutout of the season.
The team returns to action Wednesday Oct. 10 when they host PBC-foe Young Harris at Bobcat Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
