#26 Bobcat Women’s Tennis Takes Two Matches in Loss to #7 West Florida

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The No. 26 Georgia College women's tennis team (8-4) won third doubles and sixth singles in a 7-2 loss at No. 7 University of West Florida (11-2) Friday.

The Bobcats finished doubles action down 2-1. Macy Polk (Powder Springs, Georgia) and Hannah Serdinia (Suwanee, Georgia) topped Kat Dikosavljevic and Lisa May 8-5 in the third slot. The Bobcat pair picked up a victory in their first pairing this season.

Katie Krupp (Evans, Georgia) and Jena Kelly (Lawrenceville, Georgia) teamed for a 9-8 loss to Nina Bubelova and Fernanda Amaral in the second slot. Camille Clausse-Pujo (Bourdeaux, France) and Kristen Jones (Marietta, Georgia) added an 8-5 loss to National No. 10 Monika Kochanova and Laure-Eline Faure in first doubles.

Krupp provided the singles win, taking a straight-set bout from Sarai Flores, 6-4, 6-3. Krupp improves to 2-0 in singles this season.

Clausse-Pujo fell in first singles 6-1, 6-0 to Faure, while No. 4 Kochanova took down Macy Polk 6-0, 6-1 in the second slot.

Jones fell to Dikosavljevic 6-1, 6-0 in third singles, and Kelly took Bubelova to the limit in the fourth slot 5-7, 6-1, 10-6. Rounding out the singles losses for Georgia College was Cristalei Polk (Powder Springs, Georgia), a 7-5, 6-3 match with Amaral.

The Bobcats are back in action Friday, March 27 at 11 a.m., taking on No. 22 Concordia College in Savannah, Georgia.
