FLORENCE, S.C. – At the annual Peach Belt Conference (PBC) awards banquet, the No. 39 Bobcat Women's Tennis team placed pair of student-athletes on All-Conference teams.
Valeria Lopez (Galicia, Spain) topped the list, landing a spot on the All-Conference First Team for singles after her stellar play during the 2019 campaign. Lopez led the team with a 16-2 overall mark in singles play, including a 9-1 record in her last 10 matches. This streak included just a single loss in PBC-play the entire year, as she finished with an 8-1 mark.
Lopez also joined doubles partner Emma Fleming (Suwanee, Georgia) for an All-Conference Second Team - Doubles honor. The strong pairing finished 9-4 overall with a 5-3 record in conference play.
The Bobcat women start PBC Tournament play at noon tomorrow, as they take on host team USC Aiken in the quarterfinal.
