MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Georgia College Volleyball (3-1) swept Emmanuel College for its home opener Wednesday night. The Bobcats topped the Lions in all three sets, halting the Emmanuel offense at 16 points in both the first and second.

The Bobcats strength came from a solid attack line. Three Bobcats recorded over eight kills each in the three-set match. Sophomore Taylor Svehla (Cumming) had the best hitting numbers, notching nine kills with a .368 kill percentage. Junior Maggie Roper (Buford) tied with Svehla for most kills while recording nine digs defensively.

Senior Ashley Savransky (Roswell) marked the top kill percentage of the match, finishing the three sets with a .615 average and eight kills.

Sophomore setter Kayla Brockway (Jacksonville, Florida) also had a big night, assisting in 27 kills for the night.

Defensively, Chandler Ewaldsen (Savannah) wore the libero jersey for the fourth consecutive match of the season. She recorded match-high 17 digs and four assists.

"I'm very excited about the match tonight!" head coach Gretchen Krumdieck said. "We came out with passion and fire and that is exactly what you want for the home opener."
