Bobcat Volleyball Wins Home Opener in Sweep

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College Volleyball team (7-5) topped Albany State University (0-8) in straight sets Tuesday, the Bobcats winning their home opener for the third-straight season.

The Bobcats left little doubt, winning the sets 25-13, 25-14 and closing the match with a 25-13 effort.

The offense was spread around a bit, with eight players recording kills, including a team-high 10 from senior Taylor Svehla (Cumming). She recorded three total blocks and a service ace as well.

Senior Kayla Brockway (Jacksonville, Florida) ran the offense with a .287 hitting and 29 assists. Sophomore libero Jordyn Moellering (Cumming) led the defensive effort with 18 digs.

The Bobcats are back in action Saturday, Sept. 22 at 2 p.m. at home, beginning Peach Belt Conference (PBC) by hosting 2017 PBC Champions Flagler College.
