MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College Volleyball team (8-6, 1-1 PBC) took down Peach Belt Conference (PBC) leader Augusta University (11-3, 1-1 PBC) in four sets Tuesday at the Centennial Center.
The Bobcats dropped a tight first set 25-23 and rebounded to sweep the final three in front of over 1,200 rabid Bobcat fans.
Sophomore Libby Bochniak (Marietta) made her presence felt all over the court, leading with 18 kills, adding 17 digs, four service aces and a block.
Senior setter Kayla Brockway (Jacksonville, Florida) was a wizard again running the offense, finishing with 47 assists and 14 digs for a double-double, her ninth this season. Freshman Lauren Talele (Woodstock) led the team with 20 digs, the best effort of her young career, one of five Bobcats in double-digits. Joining Talele was Brockway, Bochniak, sophomore Jordyn Moellering (Cumming) with 16 and junior Nicole Cohen (Atlanta) with 15.
The Bobcats are back in action Friday, Sept. 28 at 7 p.m., traveling to Francis Marion University.
