WINGATE, N.C. – In a career full of "firsts" for Georgia College Volleyball, senior Taylor Svehla (Cumming, Georgia) has added another. Svehla has become the first two-time D2CCA All-Southeast Region honoree in program history, the organization announced Wednesday.
The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Co-Player of the Year, Svehla earns first-team distinction after taking a spot on the second team as a junior. Svehla averages 3.45 kills per set while hitting .307, and also adds 1.06 blocks per set. She leads the PBC in total blocks, solo blocks and is second in blocks/set. She is third in kills, and fourth in both kills per set and hitting percentage.
Svehla moves on to the All-America ballot, with an announcement due Nov. 28.
The Bobcats are back in action today, Nov. 15 at noon, playing in the opening round of the NCAA Southeast Regional against Augusta University.
