MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College Volleyball team (7-16, 1-7 PBC) couldn't get past the reigning Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Tournament Champions, Augusta University (21-7, 5-3 PBC), as the Jaguars got their 21st win on the season with a three-set match Tuesday night in the Centennial Center.

The Jaguars got off to a hot start, winning the first set 25-10. The Bobcats battled through the next two sets, but couldn't take down the powerful Jaguar attack, losing 25-19 and 25-21. The Bobcat offense struggled in the 2018 PBC title rematch, hitting .085 as a team.

Sophomore Sarah Stewart (Savannah) led the Bobcats with 10 kills, with junior Libby Bochniak (Marietta) finishing second on the team with eight.

Freshman Emily Long (Mooresville, North Carolina) had 26 assists, while Bochniak and junior Jordyn Moellering (Cumming) each had eight digs, leading the team.

The loss puts GC at 1-7 in league play, good for sixth in the PBC standings with four matches to go. The top six advance to the PBC Tournament starting Nov. 22.

The Bobcats are back in action Friday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m., traveling to UNC Pembroke for a conference contest against the Braves.
