Bobcat Volleyball Stumbles at UNC Pembroke in Three

PEMBROKE, N.C. - The Georgia College Volleyball squad (7-17, 1-8 PBC) fell in three tight sets at UNC Pembroke (14-18, 2-8 PBC) Friday night. 


The Braves took the first set 25-18, then edged GC 25-23 in the second. A 25-21 final frame cinched the win for UNCP. 


The attack was led by junior Emma Boughner (Bogart, Georgia) and sophomore Sarah Stewart (Savannah, Georgia) at nine kills each. Boughner hit a strong .421, recording just a single error. 


Freshman Emily Long (Mooresville) had 27 assists and 17 digs. Also helping the digs effort was junior Jordyn Moellering (Cumming, Georgia) with 15 and classmate Libby Bochniak (Marietta, Georgia) at 13. 


The Bobcats are back in action tomorrow at Francis Marion University for a noon start.
