CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Georgia College women's cross country team made the trip to Charlotte, N.C. Saturday, Nov. 3 for the NCAA Southeast Regional 6K race. The Bobcats finished ninth of 27 competing teams.

Freshman Taylor Roeck (Cumming, Ga.) has led the team in all but one race and continued the trend at Regionals. Roeck finished with a time of 23:55 and came in 37th out of the 182 runners. Her time is the third fastest 6K finish in GC history. Roeck finished just 21 seconds behind the second fastest time, which she set at the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Championship Oct. 20.

Fellow freshman Lena White (Smyrna, Ga.) finished the race with a time of 24:17, good for 47th place. Her race is the ninth fastest 6K finish in GC history. After walking on to the team earlier this season, White has competed in three races and has two of the top-10 fastest 6K finishes in GC history.

Junior Allison Lones (Kathleen, Ga.) finished 56th, with a time of 24:35. Competing in her last collegiate race senior Victoria Dobson (New Hamburg, Ontario) finished in 25:19, good for 82nd place. Sophomore Whitney Sweet (Roswell, Ga.) rounded out the scoring with a time of 25:42, finishing in 96th place.

The Southeast Regional brings the season to a close for the Bobcats. The year was highlighted by many new faces on the team, including freshman Roeck who put up the second and third fastest 6K finishes in her final two races, while also being named to the PBC All-Sportsmanship Team, and being named Bobcat Athlete of the Week twice.
