Valdosta, Ga. — The GC Women's Cross Country team placed third Friday night at the Border Clash at Valdosta State University.
Leading the Bobcats was junior Rachel Boulineau (Canton) placing 12th with a 20:17 time, earning 11 points. Next were fellow junior Grace Lynch (Snellville) and sophomore Tessa Allen (Atlanta), with close times of 20:36 and 20:37, respectively. Lynch placed 15th and earned the team 12 points. Allen placed 16th and earned 13 points for the Bobcats.
Fourth on the team was junior Madison Bowers (Cumming) who earned 18 points with a 21:16 time. Fifth on the team was senior Sarah Wilder (Tifton) with at 21:55 time, earning 23 points. Junior Katilyn Griffith (Cumming) and sophomore Michaela Davis (Johns Creek) were the last two point-scoring of the Bobcats, earning 29 points with a 22:19 time and 31 points with a 22:32 time, respectively.
Georgia College earned 77 points, taking third behind Peach Belt Conference (PBC) foe Flagler College and race-winner University of Tampa. The Bobcats finished above the lone other PBC opponent, Georgia Southwestern State University.
The Bobcats are back in action Saturday, Sept. 15 at the Jaguar Invitational at Augusta University.
