MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Senior Sarah Wilder (Tifton) of the Georgia College Cross Country team has had a career full of academic honors, but the latest is certainly the best. Wilder was chosen to serve the university as one of the Valedictorians for this year's commencement ceremony, set for Saturday, May 11.
Wilder was one of 16 students selected to the list, thanks to earning a 4.0 GPA in Chemistry with a minor in Mathematics. Over her career, she ran in 16 races, owning a career-best 5K of 21:55 and 6K time of 27:04.
A three-time Peach Belt Conference (PBC) All-Academic Team selection, Wilder was the 2018 PBC Elite-15 Award recipient, an honor given to the top GPA among student-athletes at the PBC Championship.
